FLEET MAINTENANCE SEMINAR FOCUSES ON EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENTS
Green technology and how to improve efficiency were top of mind at the 48th annual Canadian Fleet Maintenance Seminar at the Hilton Suites Toronto in Markham, Ontario. The event covered many topics; new products, brake and tire technology, hands-on training, "green' alternatives, and computer technology. Between seminars, fleet maintenance professionals had an opportunity to network. A trade show area featured industry manufacturers and suppliers. A range of current truck technologies were on display in the hotel parking lot and included Canada Post’s new Navistar eStar and Ford Transit Connect electric vehicles. ![]() Current truck technology was on display in the hotel parking lot. ![]() (From left) Jerry Power and Dan Wilcox, Drivewise explain the benefits of using a visual simulator for driver training. ![]() (from left) Leighton Watkins, Bridgestone Bantage Tire Solutions speaks during the Tire Maintenacne: Keeping the Rubber on the Road seminar while Jim Hillis, Truck-Lite, Francois Beauchamp, Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., and John Overing, Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc., look on. ![]() Josh Lepage, Navistar Inc., offers his insight into green alternatives that are available for fleets. |
