Mercedes-Benz launched its all-new GLC SUV in Atlanta, Georgia, home to the headquarters of many of the world’s biggest companies including Coca-Cola Company, Home Depot, Delta Air Lines, AT&T Mobility, UPS and others. That list now includes Mercedes-Benz who moved its headquarters to Atlanta recently. To help put down roots in the area and let people know that they are part of the community, Mercedes-Benz has the naming rights of the new stadium being built in Atlanta to replace the Georgia Dome, where the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League play their home games. Atlanta United FC will also be a tenant in the new stadium as they expect to start play for the 2017 season.

Mercedes-Benz took journalists to the presentation centre for the stadium to learn how the company has been involved in the process of the build.

It was an appropriate location to launch the all-new GLC, replacing the outgoing GLK in Mercedes-Benz’s naming system, as it allowed drive routes to be used that feature aspects of the GLC that are used for city or rural driving.

"Our new GLC represents a further, systematic step in the implementation of our successful SUV philosophy. It combines the ultimate in driving comfort with a sporty touch, impresses on the road and – more than ever – off it as well, and appeals to the eye with the new design and equipment line," says Thomas Weber, Member of the Management Board of Daimler AG and responsible for Group Research and Mercedes-Benz Cars Development.
