POWER FLOWS AT CANADIAN UTILITY FLEET FORUM

Utility Fleet Managers from across Canada gathered in Toronto for the 26th Annual Canadian Utility Fleet Forum. The two day event featured Keynote speakers, industry updates, presentations, open forums, discussion panels and a vendor Expo.

“We had another successful Canadian Utility Fleet Forum this year in Toronto. I want to thank our delegates, vendors, media who attended, especially all our volunteers, who made the event possible," said Peter Michaud, President, CUFC. "Our number of delegates from private or public utilities and contractors has increased again this year and it was great to see so many who were able to take some time from their busy schedule and attend CUFF. Forums like CUFF provide an excellent opportunity to network with each other and the vendor community to get information on new technologies, regulations and OEM solutions for our fleets that helps us achieve our primary goal of keeping vehicles reliable and drivers safe in the field.”

Utility fleet operators and industry experts shared their experiences and expertise on a wide variety of topics including, utility fleet environmental challenges, electronic logging device (ELD) regulations, tire nut re-torquing programs, equipment standards updates and more. Over 25 vendors had displays and were on hand to answer questions from event attendees.

“I believe that the CUFC conference is a great opportunity to network and gain knowledge of Fleet Management and different options that are available to improve the performance and maintenance of fleets,” said Shawn Edlington, Bluewater Power. “It is also nice to gather the information from the many knowledgable speakers to keep up to date on new information whether it be products or laws and legislations."
