TRAC TREADS INTO TRADE

The Tire and Rubber Association of Canada held its 2017 Tire and Rubber Summit at the Kingbridge Centre in King City, Ontario. The Summits theme was “Navigating the New Normal in International Trade,” and included discussions regarding NAFTA, economic benefits of an integrated automotive industry in North America and other related topics.


Summit presentations included: Canadian Economic Outlook by Josh Nye, Economist with Royal Bank of Canada; Tire Industry Outlook; Economic Benefits of the Integrated North American Automotive Industry; Understanding Trade, Trading and Traders; Rubber Materials and Energy Outlook; and the Waste-Free Ontario Act and Producer Responsibility. Each presentation was followed by a Q and A session.
