FCA AUTOSHOW TRIUMPH

Amidst the glitz and glamour of the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) VIP night, FCA held its annual fleet customer event. FCA had extra reason to celebrate, as the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica had just been announced as winning the title of AJAC’s Utility vehicle of the year, awarded as part of the CIAS. Ken Tuckey, Senior Manager, National Fleet and Commercial Vehicles along with Bernie Moorcroft, National Fleet and Commercial Sales Manager, welcomed the special guests and introduced FCA’s newest vehicle line up. Fleet customers had exclusive access to FCA’s display featuring its full range of 2018 vehicles, including the 6.2 litre Hellcat powered Jeep Trackhawk, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, Ram’s award winning 2018 1500 Pickup Truck and full lineup of commercial vans.

The award winning Chrysler Pacifica is the first ever hybrid minivan and the only vehicle in its class. The Pacific has a real world electric range for driver's daily commutes as well as offers great fuel economy. The minivan has unprecedented functionality, versatility and technology. It is the first electrified minivan, delivering a best in class fuel economy rating as efficient as 2.6 Le/100 km in city driving. Pacifica hybrid can travel up to 53 kilometres on zero-emission electric power, making it well suited for day-to-day driving. The 2018 model year comes with additional updates, including standard Safety Tec across all gas and hybrid models and upgraded Uconnect 4 systems with Apple Car Play and Android Auto.


The 2018 Ram 1500, named Best Pickup Truck by AJAC, has a refined, bold look that honors its history while looking ahead. It offers its best in class cargo versatility, award winning interior experience and reliable capability. The Ram 1500 models are built for heavy loads and deliver confident towing. It has a multilink coil spring rear suspension, active level technology for towing, hauling and off-roading and 2 shift on-the-fly, part-time 4-wheel-drive systems. The truck is engineered to perform with a variety of engines, ranging from the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6, to the award winning 3.6L Pentastar V6, through to the legendary 5.7L HEMI V8 that delivers close to 400 horsepower.

FCA guests were treated to the manufacturers famed hospitality during the event and as a special bonus had access to the entire CIAS VIP night festivities.
