General Motors 2019 Solutions Summit

Mary Barra, CEO, General Motors was a special guest at the Summit

Over 860 commercial, government and daily rental GM fleet customers came together in Nashville, TN, recently at General Motors 2018 Fleet Solutions Summit. The two -day meeting focused on how GM tailors fleet solutions to each customers needs. The meeting incorporated product overviews, organizational updates and an extensive ride and drive featuring General Motors full line up of products from passenger sedans through to the new medium duty trucks, and included the new 2019 Silverado and Sierra pick ups.

At the ride and drive, guests had the opportunity to participate in learning labs outlining many of General Motors new technologies related to towing and hauling, vehicle safety, electrification and connectivity. Guests also learned more about Super Cruise, GM’s semi-autonomous system available on Cadillac’s flagship CT6 sedan.

During the business-meeting portion of the Summit, very special guest Mary Barra, Chairman and CEO of General Motors outlined how the company’s products and services help fleets lower costs, improve driver productivity, prevent accidents and enhance comfort and convenience. Ed Peper, US vice president, General Motors Fleet reiterated the company’s commitment to the sedan business, and thru its three pillars of having great products, innovative business solutions and an exceptional customer experience, is staying focused on the fleet customer.

Peter Bagnall, Director of Fleet and commercial sales, General Motors of Canada hosted a Canadian reception as part of the summit and shared some 2018 retail and fleet sales successes along with a Canadian production update. Bagnall made clear that GM Canada’s fleet team vision is focused on the customer in everything they do and their commitment to fleet and commercial sales is unwavering.
