General Motors Fleet and Commercial Sales Team focus was on great products, innovative solutions and exceptional customer service at the concluding Toronto, Ontario, leg of its cross Canada Solutions Summit tour. Fleet owners, operators and managers from the south west Ontario region came together to learn more about GM’s 2018 product lineup and to get seat time in more than 40 cars, CUVs, SUVs, pick up trucks and vans representing 25 different GM 2018 models.

Peter Bagnall, Director Fleet and Commercial Sales, GM Canada, re-iterated that growing its fleet share is a mandate at GM and brought attendees up to date on GM commercial success, including increases in fleets three key segments, commercial, government and daily rental sales.

"We were very pleased by the great turnout at the Toronto show. While GM’s line of pick ups are always popular, there is a lot of interest in the new Chevrolet Equinox, Traverse, Bolt and Cruze among our fleet customers," said Bagnall. "That’s in addition to the innovative fuel and technology options GM offers. The Toronto event was a great way to let our customers know that choosing GM is just good business.”

Craig Campbell, GM’s National Training Manager took guests through a high level review of 2018 Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac product, including 17 diesel and seven electrified products. In addition to the product review the meeting included updates on GM’s Business Elite Dealer program and Commercial Link, its fleet telematics offering available shortly that promises to help fleets run more effectively while improving driver behaviour while reducing costs. At the conclusion of the product presentation guests hit the road in a variety of GM products available for street drives and closed course demonstrations. Learning Labs on GM safety, technology and an upfitter corrall rounded out the day’s events.
