Land Rover Canada recently held an evening reception event to introduce its new Range Rover Velar model at the Toronto Star Building in Toronto, Ontario. A variety of Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles were on hand, as well as JLR President Wolfgang Hoffmann who unveiled the Velar to event guests.

Velar will be available with two engines, a 2.0 litre four-cylinder diesel engine with 180 horsepower and a 3.0L V-6 supercharged gas engine with 380hp, both are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and offer all-wheel drive as standard. A selection of driver safety systems are available: autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, reverse traffic detection, and drive condition monitoring. Velar will be available with towing capacity of up to 2,500 kilograms and offer advanced tow assist function.

Also, unveiled at the event was the Jaguar E-Pace, which is the first compact SUV from the company.
