FOCUS ON TECHNOLOGY AT KIA RIDE AND DRIVE
Kia Canada held its 2017 Fleet Ride and Drive event at Blue Mountain in Collingwood recently. The meeting brought together fleet operators and managers to learn more about Kia's vehicle line up, the fleet program and new technologies. Kia Canada Vice President and COO, Ted Lancaster briefed attendees about Kia's Canadian success, including being the fastest OEM to reach the 850,000 sold units benchmark.

Stephanie Smith reviewed the pillars of Kia Canada's fleet program for guests and National Training Manager, Reg Furoy took guests through a brief product presentation including information on the new Niro hybrid CUV and perennial fleet favourites the Sedona minivan and Sportage compact SUV. As well Furoy briefed the audience on updates to UVO intelligence, an innovative in vehicle connectivity technology that manages navigation, vehicle diagnostics, emergency assist, parking reminders and more.

"We are thankful for our fleet partners that were able to attend the event. We feel we were able to showcase Kia’s products, performance, styling and technology while having some fun." said Smith summing up the event.

Following the business meeting, event guests got behind the wheel to get some serious windshield time in Kia products. Attendees put Kia products through their paces on the winding roads of the Blue Mountains, getting to experience the performance and handling capacity of the full Kia lineup. As part of the ride and drive, Kia created a number of stations for attendees to test the capability of Kia's rear camera system, experience the speed of connectivity between phone and vehicle and more.
