Mercedes-Benz Canada held a grand opening of its Mercedes me Store Markham at CF Markville shopping centre. It is the first store of its kind for Mercedes-Benz in Ontario. Those in attendance included media, local politicians, invited guests, Mercedes-Benz and Cadillac Fairview personnel.

“People may be surprised to see Mercedes-Benz in a shopping centre alongside more traditional retailers,” says Philipp von Witzendorff, Vice President and Head of Toronto Retail Operations, Mercedes-Benz Canada. “This is an exciting new opportunity for us to engage with people in new and unexpected ways.”

The 5,600 square-foot store is a new concept for Mercedes-Benz, and is meant to as a new way for customers to experience the brand. It will have a number of the company’s newest vehicles on display, as well as items from the Mercedes-Benz Collection. Product advisors from Mercedes-Benz will be at the store to answer any questions customers may have.

“We are thrilled to welcome the first Mercedes me Store in Ontario to CF Markville,” said Daryl Clemance, General Manager, CF Markville. “With Markham being an automotive hub in the Greater Toronto Area, we could not be more excited to introduce this new category as part of our retail mix. We believe the new store will resonate strongly with our shoppers in the region and surrounding areas.”

The store will operate as a satellite location for Mercedes-Benz Markham, and is part of the Mercedes-Benz Toronto Retail Group.

“We are excited about this new touchpoint to reach our customers and fans of our brand,” says von Witzendorff. “It’s designed to be a welcoming place for people to informally stop by and check out the latest models, ask questions, or just browse items from the Mercedes-Benz Collection as part of their shopping trip at CF Markville. Ultimately, we are trying to evolve our offering to meet people where they are and fit within their lifestyle.”
