THE ELEMENTS PROVE NO MATCH FOR NAFA RIDE AND DRIVE
NAFA’s Ontario Chapter recently held its ride and drive at the Garry W. Morden Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The ride and drive was challenged by inclement weather, however the conditions were no match for the enthusiasm of attendess as the closed circuit track was full of vehicles for most of the day.
“Despite a cold and rainy day, we are very pleased with our turnout this year for our NAFA Ontario Ride & Drive. Guests were able to drive the 75 vehicles around the closed track with puddles, rain slicks and really get a feel for how the cars respond in less than ideal elements," said Jennifer Chapman, CAFM, Account Manager, Foss National Leasing. "The display area highlighted some new technologies and the latest in upfit equipment, tires and vehicle maintenance and was well attended. Thank you go all of our OEM partners and Vendors for their participation in our event and to our numerous volunteers who helped make today a success.”
The event included 75 vehicles ranging from compact to full size trucks from a wide selection of OEMs. In addition, 18 displays that included representatives from upfitters, telematics, graphics and emission technology companies were part of the annual event.
In all, an estimated 175, fleet professionals (owners, operators and managers) attended. Those in attendance networked with fleet representatives from each OEM. A BBQ lunch was provided courtesy of Action Car and Truck Accessories to keep attendees fueled up on the rainy day.
