Over 50 Canadians attended the Canadian Fleet Workshop as part of the 2018 NAFA Institute and Expo at the Anaheim Convention Centre in California.

The Canadian Fleet Workshop introduced a new format for 2018, using roundtable discussions on a range of topics.

“We had 50 plus Canadians in attendance for both sessions, discussing multiple topics including: 1) legislation for log books, narcotics use, marijuana for medical purposes; 2) adoption of autonomous technologies and driver responsibilities; and 3) In cabin and forward-facing dash cameras; that discussed company policy, benefits, liabilities and insurance implications,” said Mark Boutilier, NAFA. “The round tables were followed by a panel discussion which allowed all in attendance to pose questions about all three topics.”

Discussions were led by Sara Church, District Manager – Western Canada, ARI on driver policy on changing legislation; Robert Chagnon, Senior Manager – Fleet Solutions, Bell Canada on adoption of autonomous technology; and Mark Boutilier, Director of Business and Fleet Development, Action Car and Truck Accessories, on in-cabin and dash cameras.

Attendees had a chance to network at the conclusion of the workshop.
