Plug’n Drive recently hosted a ride and drive event at the Ontario legislature, dubbed Queen’s Park EV Day. On hand were representatives from OEMs who brought their electric vehicles to the event. Vehicles available for test drive were BMW i3, Chevrolet Bolt, Ford Fusion Energi, Mitsubishi i-MIEV, Nissan Leaf, Kia Soul EV, and Tesla Model X.

Those in attendance included Plug’n Drive representatives, OEM representatives, Ministers, MPPs, and members of the public. Who had an opportunity to ask any questions about the vehicles, as well as take them out for a spin around the block.

A selection of companies that sell charging solutions were also on hand.

Currently Ontario offers rebates on electric vehicle that can range from $6,000 to $14,000 depending on the type of vehicle and battery size. The incentive is capped at 30 per cent of the MSRP of the vehicle. Also, $500 rebates are available for reducing the cost of installing a charger.
