POWERFUL PARTNERSHIPS DRIVE RESULTS+

Wheels’ Annual Results+ Fleet Performance Summit was a standing room only success for 2017. Now in its fifth year, the event featured over 100 Wheel’s clients gathered to celebrate Optimal Fleet Performance Award winners, hear case studies, network with colleagues and as Laura Jozwiak, SVP, Sales and Client Relations, Wheels, put it, “to share with other fleet managers what worked for them and take away ideas they can put into practice in their own fleets.”

During the Summit, attendees heard presentations from Wheels clients and their Wheels Account Managers on Total Cost Management, Fleet Administration and Ease, Risk Mitigation, Integration and Control and Driver Productivity and Satisfaction. Some of the highlights included how ADP slashed its fleet greenhouse gas emissions 40 per cent by moving to hybrid vehicles, how BP pipelines reduced accident rates by a third and traffic violations by 75 per cent by employing a combination of technology (vehicle data recorders) coaching and positive reinforcement, and how General Mills used an innovative personal use and vehicle selector model to improve cash flow and driver satisfaction. An emerging theme from all presentations was how the strength of the partnership between Wheels and their customers was key to the results that lowered costs, reduced emissions, improved safety and improved driver satisfaction for Fleet Performance Award winners.

“It’s wonderful to see the level of engagement, collaboration and partnership between our account teams and our clients, and to celebrate the improvements they have achieved together,” said Suresh Rajapakse, Vice President of Client Relations at Wheels, of the event. The summit concluded with an industry discussion led by Dan Frank, President and CEO of Wheels that covered industry trends, the current economic environment and Franks perspective on autonomous vehicles.
