Marc Engelen has been named President and CEO of Volvo Cars of Canada and succeeds Jeff Pugliese, who becomes head of the Commercial Sales department at Volvo Cars of North America. Engelen has been with Volvo since 1996, having held various roles in Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg, and at Volvo Car Corporation in Sweden. Engelen will assume responsibility August 1.

“I am committed to improve and grow the Volvo business in Canada in terms of customer loyalty and satisfaction, segment share and customer service penetration.” says Engelen, “Having lived in Sweden for the last five years, I recognize the similarities between these two cultures and see great potential here as a second home market overseas.”

Garrick will be responsible for fleet sales to commercial, government, and daily rental accounts in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. He has been with Chrysler more than 20 years, recently as Service Training Manager for Western Canada. Garrick will be based in Vancouver, B.C.

Dale-Ann Gilbert is a new Account Executive with Foss National Leasing based in Laval, Quebec. Gilbert managed a large Canadian fleet and has more than 10 years fleet and account management experience. She will focus on new business development in Eastern Canada.

Andrea Garson has been appointed to a newly created position, Vice-President Human Resources. Garson holds a Bachelor of Science and MBA from Dalhousie University as well as Canadian Human Resource Management and Senior Human Resource Management designations. She will manage the Roy Foss group of companies development and implementation strategies of organizational and cultural development, employee education and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits.

Ryan D’Souza joins Jim Pattison Lease as Manager, Fleet Services and will be based in Calgary, Alberta. He has over 10 years experience in automotive services and operations including four years in maintenance and client services in the fleet management industry. D’Souza’s responsibilities will involve vendor management, the maintenance call centre, invoice administration and factory order management.

Jennifer McGhee is Toyota Canada’s newly appointed Manager Commercial Sales. McGhee will be responsible for maintaining relationships with fleet customers and developing new fleet business. She will continue to develop projects underway, intended to emphasize service levels for Toyota’s fleet customers. McGhee has extensive experience in sales, most recently as Manager Sales Support for Central Zone.
