Anthony Fina.
Anthony Fina has been named Vice President of Business Development in the Northeast region at LeasePlan USA. He takes over for Gerry Tellier, who was promoted to Senior Vice-President of Business Development – East.

“I am passionate about working with people and creating value for clients,” Fina said. “It’s exciting to have the opportunity to combine my fleet experience with LeasePlan’s forward-thinking to make a positive impact in the Northeast region.”

Fina has 25 years of experience in fleet, holding prior roles with other fleet management companies. He is an active member of NAFA.

Becky Langmandel.
Becky Langmandel has been named as Vice-President of Analytics, Consulting and Transformation (ACT) at LeasePlan USA. She will leads a team of consultants that support client success by identifying actions that lead to cost savings.

“Our clients look to us for guidance in areas of cost savings, policy and process improvement, along with sustainability and safety,” said Langmandel. “I am thrilled we could reposition this team to provide exactly what clients need to move their fleet forward.”

Langmandel has served as director of strategic modeling analytics and research team at LeasePlan USA.

Dan Frank.
Dan Frank has been named as CEO at Wheels Inc, taking over from Jim Frank, who will become Executive Chairman of the board. Dan Frank will continue as President, a role he has held since 2014.

“Dan’s total commitment to extraordinary customer service and uncompromising quality assure that Wheels will continue its industry-wide reputation for reliability and value creation for its clients,” said Jim Frank.

Dan Frank has been with Wheels for nearly 20 years, having held a variety of managing roles. Most recently as President, he led Wheels in development of new products, enhancements to its technology platform, customer service improvements and solutions for clients addressing a variety of challenges.

Franks is currently the Vice President for Government Affairs at the American Automotive Leasing Association, as well as representing the fleet industry before the U.S. Congress, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and other regulatory agencies on commercial fleet issues. He is also a board member for the National Safety Council.

“I feel fortunate to have been able to spend so many years learning from the best in the business, and to have a strong management team with extensive experience,” said Dan Frank. “Wheels is a world-class organization that prides itself on exceptional client service. John Arnone.
John Arnone, head of public relations at Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada has announced his retirement. Arnone has held the position since 2012.

“Arnone’s many accomplishments in both the automotive and aerospace industries are too numerous to mention,” said Tony Laframboise, President and CEO, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada. “It will be difficult to imagine our public relations function without him. To say we will miss John when he retires is a huge understatement. He has earned our respect during the past six years so, in turn, we respect his life decision.”

Arnone, whose career began in 1983 has worked as a journalist and editor (he was the first Editor at Canadian Automotive Fleet magazine) as well as sports editor and reporter at Yorkton This Week. He has held corporate communications positions for a variety of automotive OEMs, as well as Bombardier Aerospace.

“My only regret is not landing a gig in the rail industry, that way I could have scored the career hat-trick of Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” quipped Arnone. “Writing has always been at the core of what I do, and I’ve been blessed to make a living at it…I intend to pursue my many passions, including writing, guitar, cottage life, ball hockey, travel and family.”

Richard Pasta has been named as Co-Chairman of the International Automotive Remarketing Alliance (IARA) Canadian Committee, taking over for Steve Macaluso.

“The IARA is a key automotive committee in Canada that will play a vital role in the future success of the remarketing industry,” said Pasta. “I am honoured to have been asked to take on this role. The IARA’s inspiring track record has provided a strong foundation for the coming years and I am excited to be involved.”

Pasta is the National Manager – Strategic Accounts at CARPROOF, and will be joined by John Paonessa, GM Financial, who is also Co-Chairman.

“Richard is an industry leader who is well respected by the IARA committee and his automotive peers,” said Paonessa. “I look forward to working with Richard and the IARA Canada committee as we continue to drive change in the auto remarketing industry.”

Macaluso served as Chairman and Co-Charman since the IARA Canadian committee was founded. He will remain an active member of the organization.

Richard McAuliffe has been named as chairman of the board of directors at the Canadian Finance and Leasing Association (CFLA).

“Everyone welcomes Richard’s appointment,” said David Powell, President and CEO, CFLA. “He is a respected and effective industry leader. His energy and thoughtful advice will continue to make a major contribution to the association and advance the interests of the industry.”

McAuliffe is the Senior Vice-President and COO of Key Equipment Finance Canada Ltd. He has been an active member of CFLA for over 20 years, serving on and chairing various committees and currently a member of the executive committee.

“Throughout his career, Richard’s main focus has been on empowering the people around him,” said Adam D. Ashley Ballard and Trevor Boyd have been named as Client Service Representatives for Foss National Leasing/LeasePlan Canada, working out of the Markham, Ontario head office.

Both have several years of customer service experience in the automotive industry. They will be providing ongoing client relationship management, support, consultation, training and other services.

Also, Walter Costenaro has been named Account Executive at Foss’ Montreal, Quebec office. He has several years of automotive experience working with Enterprise and ADESA. Costenaro joins Michel La Brie, who will be responsible to contact and sign new potential customers in Quebec and Atlantic Canada.

Ryan Hartley has been named Sales Executive at Foss National Leasing. Hartley has been with Foss National Leasing since 2015, when he was named Operations Specialist, his most recent role was as Client Service Representative.

Adam Paterson.

Adam Paterson has been named Managing Director, Infiniti Canada, effective September 4 at Nissan Canada Inc. He is taking over for Stephen Lester, who has been named Managing Director at Nissan Motor Co. (Australia) Pty. Ltd.

“Working with Stephen for the past few years I’ve witnessed first hand his strong leadership skills and ability to excel under pressure. Seeing another Canadian move into a global position is a testament to the caliber of talent within our team,” said Joni Paiva, President, Nissan Canada, Inc. “Since joining Nissan Canada, Adam quickly demonstrated his strength across many positions and is poised to excel in his new role leading the Infiniti brand in Canada.”

Naomi Kislanski.

Naomi Kislanski has been named Manager, Fleet Sales at Subaru Canada Inc. She takes over for Scott Langlois, who moves over to the Central Region sales team as District Sales Manager.

“We will miss and we thank Scott for his years of dedication in supporting Subaru Fleet and wish him similar success in his new role,” said Tod Sullivan, Director, Vehicle Operations, Fleet and Sponsorship, Subaru Canada.

Kislanski has been with Subaru for four years, and returns to fleet where she was Fleet Coordinator when she came to the company. Most recently, she was Specialist, Public Relations at Subaru.

“It is exciting for us to bring back a young, motivated and inspired individual like Naomi who is very excited to take the reins and provide exceptional customer service to our fleet clients,” said Sullivan. “Please join us in welcoming Naomi to this new position and challenge.”

Kislanski has successfully completed the CAFM boot camp and has achieved her CAFM certification.

Richard Oliveira has been appointed Vice-President, Finance at Foss National Leasing/LeasePlan Canada.

Sean Logan.

Sean Logan has been named Fleet Account Manager for Ontario at General Motors Canada Fleet and Commercial Department. He takes over from Peter Cornu, who was recently named National Commercial Accounts Manager.

Mark Boutilier has been named the Ontario Chapter Chair at NAFA Ontario Chapter, taking over for Jeff Meggit. Boutilier is the Director of Business and Fleet Development for Action Car and Truck Accessories. He has over 10 years of experience in commercial fleet upfitting.

“Mark oversees Action's National Corporate profile, which includes fleet customers having 20 or less assets to customers with over 1,000 assets on the road in Canada,” said Michael Cole, Vice-President for Canada, NAFA. “He also manages a team of outside Business Development Managers across the nation as well as an inside fleet account manager team.”

Also, Kathryn Foster has been named to the position of Treasurer. Foster is the District Sales Manager at ARI. She takes over for Jennifer Chapman.

“Kathryn is well known in the fleet community through her work and support of fleets,” said Cole. “Kathryn is a great addition to the chapter executive.”

Michael Soutter.

Michael Soutter has been named division general manager, global aftersales division at Nissan Motor Company Limited, and will be based in Yokohama, Japan, effective September 1.

He is currently regional vice president, sales operations, for Nissan Canada. Soutter has 15 years of automotive industry experience, and was with Nissan Canada since 2013.

"Mike has excelled in his role leading sales in Canada demonstrating exceptional leadership abilities and an innate sense of how to navigate our business," said Joni Paiva, President, Nissan Canada Inc. “We’re thrilled to see home-grown Canadian talent move into a global position, and to help support our business growth at a global level. Taking over for Soutter is Steve Milette, who becomes regional vice president, sales operations at Nissan Canada, based at the Toronto office, effective July 31. Milette has many years of automotive industry experience having worked for other automotive OEMs.

Jim Hackett.

Jim Hackett has been named as President and CEO at Ford Motor Company, taking over for Mark Fields who will retire after 28 years with the company.

“Mark Fields has been an outstanding leader and deserves a lot of credit for all he has accomplished in his many roles around the globe at Ford," said Bill Ford, Executive Chairman, Ford. “His strong leadership was critical to our North American restructuring, our turnaround at the end of the last decade, and our record profits in the past two years."

Jim Farley.
Hackett, has experience as CEO of Steelcase, Interim Athletic Director at the University of Michigan and has been the Executive Chairman of Ford Smart Mobility LLC since March 2016. He will report to Bill Ford.

“We’re moving from a position of strength to transform Ford for the future,” said Bill Ford. “Jim Hackett is the right CEO to lead Ford during this transformative period for the auto industry and the broader mobility space. He’s a true visionary who brings a unique, human-centered leadership approach to our culture, products and services that will unlock the potential of our people and our business.”

Ford also named three new positions as part of a new structure for its operations effective June 1.

Joe Hinrichs.
Jim Farley has been named Executive Vice-President and President, Global Markets. He will oversee Ford’s business units, The Americas; Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific. He will also, oversee Lincoln Motor Company and global Marketing Sales and Service. Farley will also oversee the strategy and business model development for electrified vehicles and autonomous vehicles. Since January 2015, he has served as Executive Vice-President and President, Ford of Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Marcy Klevorn.
Joe Hinrichs, has been named Executive Vice-President and President, Global Operations. Hinrichs will oversee Ford’s global Product Development, Manufacturing and Labour Affairs, Quality, Purchasing; and Sustainability, Environmental and Safety Engineering. He has been the Executive Vice-President and President, The Americas at Ford since December 2012.

Mark Truby.
Marcy Klevorn has been named as Executive Vice-President and President, Mobility. She will oversee Ford Smart Mobility LLC, and Information Technology and Global Data, Insight and Analytics. Klevorn has been the Group Vice-President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer since January 2017.

Amy Martin has been appointed as Vice-President, Finance and CFO at General Motors Canada.

She also joins GM Canada Board of Directors, and GM Canada Executive Committee. She will report to Carlisle, and John P. Stapleton, GM North America chief financial officer, General Motors finance.

Daimler Trucks North America has appointed Jeff Allen and Stefan Kurschner to its Operating Committee. Effective August 1, 2017, Allen becomes Senior Vice-President of Production, Quality and Specialty Vehicles. Effective July 1, 2017, Kurschner becomes Senior Vice-President of the Aftermarket business.

Allen has been with Daimler Trucks for over 20 years, most recently he was Vice- President of Operations at Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) in Redford, Michigan.

Kurschner has been with Daimler for over 25 years, most recently as President and CEO of Daimler Vehículos Comerciales Mexico. He has held management positions in Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Mexico and USA.

Senior leadership team changes have been announced at Foss National Leasing/LeasePlan Canada.

David Thornton has been named Vice-President Sales and Client Service for Eastern Canada, and Basil Marcus has been appointed Director of Business Development and Marketing.

Thornton has extensive fleet experience and will help to integrate sales and service efforts in eastern Canada to better serve the company’s customers.

Marcus will continue developing Foss’ future by executing a number of new business initiatives as well being responsible for marketing, helping to further build the Foss and LeasePlan Canada brands.

Element Fleet Management Corp., has announced changes to its Senior Leadership team in North America.

Tom Keilty has retired after 20 years with the company.

“These are skilled leaders who are focused on our customers and advancing the customer experience. This is an important time in Element’s journey and I am extremely pleased with each of these appointments,” said Kristi Webb, President and CEO, Element Fleet Management, North America. “First, I want to thank Tom Keilty for his many contributions to our business. Tom has played an invaluable role in bringing together our Operations teams, and providing his expertise, guidance and customer focus to the Element leadership team.”

Ken Johnson is now Senior Vice President, Operations. Johnson brings knowledge and understanding in the areas of Six Sigma, sales and the customer experience to the operations team.

Mary Sticha has been named Senior Vice President, Operational Excellence. She has knowledge of every aspect of fleet management for the Element team and customers.

Joe Cuccia has been named to Fleet Partnership Solutions. He brings operations knowledge and finance experience to Element’s fleet management team.

Tom Peterson, Managing Director, Midwest Region, will now also lead Element’s Strategic Consulting team. Peterson’s sales and account leadership and finance experience will help strengthen Element’s Strategic Consulting team.

Greg Beckman has been named Vice-President, Product at CARPROOF Corporation, based at the London, Ontario head office.

Element Fleet Management has named two new Vice-Presidents and a new Director to its team.

John Blakely appointed Vice-President of Corporate Accounts, Canada. Blakely has over 29 years of fleet management experience, including over 10 years of National Account Manager experience. Blakely has led many teams including strategic consulting, and the customer services and operations teams.

Nancy Ingram has been named Vice-President, Management Services.

She has been with Element since 2002 and has worked in remarketing, fuel, payments, licensing, tolls, customer setup and other areas of the business.

“With her extensive experience, in combination with a track record of success, Nancy’s appointment is a foundational step towards a continued evolution of perpetual Operational Excellence” said Mike Herenberg, Chief Operations Officer, Element Fleet Management.

Matthew Critchell has been appointed to the role of Director of Sales.

Critchell has eight years in various sales and sales management positions, and has been with Element Fleet Management for three years, most recently as Sales Manager, Western Canada, where he built a new business team. He has worked in different levels of sales such as commercial, corporate and national arenas.

The Central Region New Business Development team and the Inside Account Managers will report to Critchell, and he will also maintain responsibility for the New Business Development team in the Western Region.

Rahual Nanda has been named Account Executive, Eastern Region at Foss National Leasing.

Nanda has experience working at other FMCs, spending time in the roles of Strategic Account Consultant and Financial Analyst. He brings a fresh and strategic perspective for targeting new business to Foss National Leasing.

Shireene Assaad has been named Order Management and Fleet Distribution Specialist at Volkswagen Canada. She will be responsible for forecasting, allocating and order managing assigned car lines to align production capabilities to the demand of the market as well as supporting incoming fleet and fleet management orders.

Tony Laframboise.
Tony Laframboise has been named as President at Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada beginning April 1. He takes over from Kenny Yamamoto, who is returning to Mitsubishi Motors in Japan and becomes Division General Manager, America and Oceania Division.

“Our business has changed dramatically since our start in Canada some 15 years ago,” said Laframboise. “Mitsubishi Motors in Canada has transformed into a lean, focused organization that specializes in crossover/SUV vehicles and small cars with a particular emphasis on electric-powered vehicles.”

Laframboise is an original employee of Mitsubishi when it began operations in Canada in 2002. He has been in the automotive industry since 1975.

Steve Langdon has been named Senior Director of Business Development at ADESA Canada.

LeasePlan Corporation N.V., has appointed two new Managing Board Members. Daniëlle Pos has been named Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, and Yolanda Paulissen is named Chief Strategic Finance and Investor Relations Officer.

Nick Salkeld has step down from his position as Chief Commercial Officer.

Paul Andreana has been named Director, Fleet Strategies for the Ontario area at EMKAY Canada. He will join Andrew Ogilvie in supporting the Ontario area, and partner with businesses in central Canada to optimize fleet performance by providing innovative services, technologies and flexible solutions.

Michelle Davis.
Michelle Davis has been named Regional Sales Vice-President for the Southeast at LeasePlan USA. Based in Louisiana, Davis will ensure that clients are using up to date strategies and help to present solutions to help them manage their fleets. She will also work with potential clients of up to 1,000 vehicles.

Dave Gardner will become President and CEO at Honda Canada effective April 1. He will be taking over for Jerry Chenkin, who is retiring.

Hiroto Saikawa.
Hiroto Saikawa has been named CEO at Nissan, effective April 1, taking over for Carlos Ghosn, who will stay on as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

"I am confident that the management team I have developed at Nissan over the past 18 years has the talent and experience to meet the company's operational and strategic goals,” said Ghosn. “Having recently taken on new responsibilities at Mitsubishi Motors, and taking into consideration the upcoming Nissan general shareholders meeting, I have decided that the time is right for Hiroto Saikawa to succeed me as Nissan's CEO."

Saikawa has been with Nissan since 1977, and has held a variety of senior management roles since 1999. From 2013 to 2016 he was Nissan’s Chief Competitive Officer, and is currently co-CEO and representative director.

"I would like to thank Mr. Ghosn and the Nissan board for entrusting me with this new responsibility,” said Saikawa. “Under Mr. Ghosn's chairmanship and with the support of the excellent leadership team that has been built at Nissan, my focus will be delivering our company's continued performance and development and on continuing Nissan's contribution to the success of the Alliance."

Saikawa is also the Chairman of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association.

Kevin McCaig.
Kevin McCaig has been named General Manager at ADESA Saskatoon. He was most recently sales manager at the location.

“Kevin has been an essential member of the team at ADESA Saskatoon, and he has played a valuable role in this auction’s success as it has grown from a three-lane operation into an eight-lane facility,” said Gregg Maidment, senior vice president of Canadian operations for ADESA. “I am confident that he has the leadership skills and experience to continue to grow this auction’s market share while maintaining a positive and productive customer experience.”

He has been with ADESA Saskatoon since 2006, He has held a variety of roles including factory account representative, sales manager, and also serves as an auctioneer. He was also a site manager for Automotive Finance Corporation.

Rui Nunes has been named Director of Sales & Customer Experience at Canadian Black Book.

Andrew Chiu has been appointed as Fleet Analyst at Hyundai Canada, taking over for Scott Campbell, who has been promoted to the role of Customer Service Manager, Central Zone.

Samir Zabaneh has been named Chief Financial Officer at Element Fleet Management Corp.

“I welcome Samir Zabaneh as a valuable addition to Element’s Executive Leadership Team. Samir brings significant strategic, operations and financial technology expertise to Element, having recently served as the CFO of a NYSE-listed Fortune 1000 company that was a leader in the U.S. payment processing industry,” said Bradley Nullmeyer, Element’s Chief Executive Officer.

Zabaneh has held senior leadership roles in finance, strategy and operations at a variety of companies. Most recently, he was the CFO at Heartland Payment Systems. He has a Master of Science Degree in Finance from Boston College and an MBA from Suffolk University in Boston, and is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the AICPA.

Shawn Morris has been named Chief Operating Officer at Endras Automotive Group.

Heath Holtz has been appointed Vice-President, Manufacturing, Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant, Nissan North America, replacing Randy Knight, who is retiring on April 1, 2017.

"Randy has been an effective and well-respected leader in Smyrna since assuming his current post in 2013," said José Muñoz, chief performance officer, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., and chairman, Nissan North America. "I would like to thank Randy for his dedicated service and leadership and wish him well in the future."

Holtz, who is currently Deputy Managing Director, Manufacturing, Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant, will assume his new role on January 1.

Holtz will be responsible for Nissan's Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant operations including safety, quality, operations, productivity and environmental compliance.

Holtz has been with Nissan North American since March 2016, and has held a variety of roles within Nissan including stints in Japan and England.

Ken Richardson.
Ken Richardson has been named Vice-President of Finance for Canada at Element Fleet Management. He will be taking over for Henry Mulder, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Richardson has been with the company since 2008 and currently manages Element Fleet’s Commercial and Fleet Partnership Solutions teams for Central and Eastern Canada. He has the Chartered Financial Analyst credential and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Randy Wingenroth.
Randy Wingenroth has been named Vice-President of Operations for Business Area North America. He takes over for Michael Berger, who becomes Head of Corporate HR at PALFINGER Headquarters in Austria.

Wingenroth has over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles related to operations, strategic sourcing, supply chain management and lean manufacturing. He will work with Mark Woody, VP of Sales, to lead the North American business.

Stacey White.
Stacey White has been named Senior Vice-President of Enterprise Optimization at KAR Auction Services, Inc. (KAR). White will oversee transportation at the corporate level and will continue to oversee the company’s procurement and sourcing strategies, while still leading the team charged with standardization of operations and processes at all newly acquired auctions.

“Stacey has more than 20 years of experience in the auto remarketing industry and is well respected by other employees throughout the company,” said David Vignes, Executive Vice-President of Enterprise Optimization, KAR. “She has a proven track record of success and the willingness and drive to continue taking on more responsibilities, making her well-suited for this role.”

White has been with KAR since 2008, when she began as Operational Compliance Auditor, and has held a variety of roles since.

Alex Préfontaine has been named Regional Operations Manager, Eastern Region at Volvo Car Canada Ltd.

He will be responsible for leading the regional sales operations for retailers in Québec and Ottawa, Ontario. Préfontaine will work with retailers to develop and implement sales and market building strategies to ensure achievement of retail sales, market share and customer satisfaction objectives. As well, he will be responsible for counseling and coordination of the Retailer Advertising Group, regional marketing, promotions and special events.

He has over 14 years of professional experience with other OEMs. He holds a Bachelor degree in Business and Marketing Management from Northwood University.

Mark Buzzell.
Mark Buzzell has been named President and CEO of Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd., taking over for Dianne Craig, who becomes U.S. Director of Sales, Ford Motor Company. Craig held the role for the past five years. The appointments are effective January 1, 2017.

“Dianne Craig’s outstanding contributions at Ford of Canada make her the right person to help build future sales success in the U.S.,” said Joe Hinrichs, President of The Americas, Ford.

Buzzell has been with Ford since 1989 and has held a range of marketing, sales and service positions across the country, and in the Caribbean and Central America. He is currently General Manager for the western market area in the United States.

“Based on my own experience at Ford of Canada, I know that Mark Buzzell is a perfect fit to lead the organization as it continues to put the customer experience first and build a strong future for its employees, dealers and communities,” said Hinrichs.
