ARI has introduced WatchList, a new tool available through ARI insights. The tool is available for ARI clients who are using Accident Management and Telematics programs.

Watchlist can notify a fleet manager of events such as accidents and downtime as they happen and can be monitored in a newsfeed format similar to a social media feed, allowing for immediate action to be taken.

“ARI WatchList brings critical incidents to a fleet manager’s attention right away in a highly visible area of the ARI insights dashboard,” said Tony Candeloro, Vice-President of Product Development and Client Information Services. “This automatic and transparent notification process is a giant leap forward in terms of empowering a fleet manager to take quick action and is integral to a quick resolution.”

Fleet managers can see which vehicle is off-road as they are notified and can contact a vendor before a purchase order is issued and make any arrangements necessary.

“Though it’s hard to measure, we have found that an hour of downtime can cost approximately $150, although factors such as the type of vehicle, how it’s used and the driver’s salary will impact that figure,” said Candeloro. “That can add up very quickly for a fleet and have a significant impact on a company’s bottom line.”

When ARI WatchList notifications are clicked, details surrounding the event are visible. Important incidents can be pinned to the top of the feed. Fleet managers can subscribe to notifications they want to get, and dismiss any as they are resolved. Those who want to share notifications can do so with other ARI insights users that are part of the organization.
