FCA made a stop in Woodbridge, Ontario as part of its Canada-wide “Peak Performance” Fall Fleet Tour. The Tour began in Edmonton, stopping in Toronto, Calgary and concludes with Vancouver.

The event, held at Chateau Le Jardin Conference Centre, gave attendees the opportunity to discover the performance capabilities of the all-new 2019 Ram 1500, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee and 2019 Jeep Compass.

The half-day event began with a lunch meet and greet which gave fleet professionals the opportunity to connect with colleagues and FCA representatives. Ken Tuckey, FCA’s Senior Manager National Fleet and Commercial Vehicles, kickstarted the event by introducing his Fleet Team as well as the 2019 Ram 1500, Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Compass.

The Ram 1500 offers durability and utility, giving drivers the ability to haul, tow and go off-road all while remaining fuel efficient and operating at low cost. The truck has a towing capacity of up to 12,750lb and a max payload of up to 2,300lb. The wider bed delivers a larger cargo bed volume of up to 1,521 litres or 53.7 cu-ft. The Ram’s upgraded 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine with eTorque optimizes fuel efficiency with a combined fuel economy rating of 13.6L/100km.

The Ram 1500 has Best-in-Class interior storage for a volume up to 151.1 L, as well as offers the available Class-Executive RamBox Cargo Management system which has two lockable, drainable storage bins with LED lighting as well as 115-volt power outlet and remote access via the key fob.

With Safety a top priority for fleets, the Ram comes equipped with the latest safety features like Blind-Spot monitoring, forward collision warning, birds eye view camera and adaptive cruise control.

When asked about the new Ram, Rebecca Moorey, Senior Manager, Fleet and National HR Programs at Loblaws commented, “The space, height and power of the truck is impressive and the interior is so comfortable, it’s better than my couch!”.

FCA’s guests also had the opportunity to learn about the 2019 Jeep Cherokee which comes available with a new 2.0L turbo engine. Both the Cherokee and Compass have been awarded best-in-class 4x4 capability. The Jeep’s come equipped with FCA’s fourth generation Uconnect system, featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The day concluded with a Peak Performance Drive which gave guests the chance to test out the limits of both vehicles with a closed course experience of on-road and off-road terrain.
