FCA stood out among the glitz and glamour at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) VIP night. The Group hosted its annual VIP Fleet event where fleet customers had exclusive access to FCA’s display featuring its full range of 2019 vehicles.

 FCA had reason to celebrate with the 2019 Ram 1500 being named North American Truck of the Year, Motor trend’s Truck of the Year and receiving “Editors’ Choice Award” from Edmunds.  Adding to the FCA trophy shelf, the Canadian-made Chrysler Pacifica was named Best EV in Canada for 2019 by AJAC, named “Family Car of the Year” as well as earning a Consumer Guide Automotive Best Buy’s award.

FCA also took home two wins from the Canadian Black Book Best Retained Value awards. For the ninth year in a row, the Wrangler won in the Compact Crossover/SUV category and the Jeep Renegade took top spot in the Sub-compact Crossover category.

Ken Tuckey, Senior Manager, National Fleet and Commercial Vehicles along with Bernie Moorcroft, National Fleet and Commercial Sales Manager greeted guests and introduced FCA’s newest vehicle line up. From the launch of the Jeep Gladiator, to the all-new Ram Heavy Duty, to the groups 2019 Chassis Cab line up, FCA offers customers an impressive array of  vehicles.

The award winning 2019 Ram 1500 has made significant gains in fuel efficiency through an all-new eTorque mild hybrid system in both V-6 and V-8 configurations. The truck is lighter and more powerful than ever, with its weight reduced by 225 pounds with a towing capacity of 12,750 pounds and 2,300 pounds of payload. The Ram doesn’t compromise on technology either, with the new Uconnect 4C system, 360-degree camera view and exclusive content from SirisuXM with 360L. Active safety and security systems join the technology onslaught with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring.

Ram recently added its Multifunction Tailgate to the 2019 Ram 1500 that adds even greater utility, offering customer cargo-access flexibility without compromise.

 Since its introduction, the Chrysler Pacifica has taken home a multitude of awards. The 2019 Pacifica continues to impress judges and consumers alike. The latest generation has been re-engineered with an all-new platform, delivering an advanced hybrid powertrain. The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica is the only electrified minivan in the market, achieving an impressive 3.0L/100km of fuel efficiency.

With more than 100 available safety and security features, and an array of comfort and convenience technologies, the Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid are minivans ideally suited for today’s families, earning their spots as the most awarded minivans of the year.
