NAFA Ontario held its annual Holiday Luncheon at the Glenerin Inn & Spa in Mississauga. The event sold out with 80 fleet professionals in attendance. The Christmas luncheon is always a great opportunity to network and celebrate the Christmas season before the Holiday break commences.
Every guest brought a gift to donate for the CP24 Chum Christmas Wish holiday gift drive, a practice done every year at the NAFA luncheon. This year, the focus age groups were infants 0-18 months old and teenagers 13-18 years old. These age groups often get forgotten during toy drives so NAFA and members made a conscious effort to support these children this Christmas season.
Mark Boutilier, NAFA Ontario Chapter Chair welcomed guests and thanked everyone for their support and generosity. “After visiting the donation centre last year, we learned about these age groups and how they’re overlooked. We really appreciate everyone bringing gifts for these kids, we are so excited to take them to the centre.” Mark also talked about the success NAFA Ontario had in 2018 and shared positivity for 2019. “Our chapter raised $20,000 this year through the generosity of our members for sick kids hospital. Our goal for 2019 is to raise $30,000.”
Mark shared NAFA Ontario’s news of their upcoming event February 22nd at the Toronto Auto Show. The full day event will give attendees day passes to the show and will include a breakfast with a guest speaker panel and conclude with a treasure hunt to help encourage everyone to visit all the OEM’s at the show.
