Mitsubishi Motors welcomed guests to their two day event at the EV Discovery Center in Toronto on August 17th and 18th. The grassroots campaign was intended to educate Canadians on different hybrid options available today, as well as show case the Outlander PHEV and its capabilities.

 Attendees had the opportunity to learn why consumers are purchasing EVs, what the benefits are and what Canadians think about electrified vehicles today. Mitsubishi is using augmented reality to help educate consumers on the technology behind the Outlander PHEV and differentiate the vehicles three drive modes- the EV Drive Mode, Series Hybrid Mode and Parallel Hybrid Mode. The Outlander PHEV is the only Plug-in Electric Hybrid Vehicle with 4 wheel drive powered completely with electric charge.

The event distinguished the types of charging levels/speeds available for electric vehicles, provided information on home charging installations and more. 

 “Our research tells us that people are interested in buying EVs but don’t quite understand them. We have an opportunity to build awareness about plugin hybrid technology. Mitsubishi Motors’ goal at the EV Discovery Centre with our Outlander PHEV event is to do just that. These types of events whether at an off-site location or at a dealership will continue to move the bar on EV adoption.
