NAFA’s Ontario Chapter held its annual Ride and Drive event on September 20th at Woodbine Racetrack in Etobicoke. The event hosted over 320 attendees, and featured  twenty fleet vendors, an Upfitter Corral and thirteen fleet minded OEM’s showcasing over 100 various cars, trucks, vans and speciality vehicles.

Fleet Managers like Larry Hollett, Director of Operations at the Town of East Gwillimbury  appreciated the opportunity to test drive the newest vehicles and learn more about 2019 fleet incentives. “My coworkers and I enjoy attending this event each year to see all the new vehicles and how segments like SUV’s have combined comfort with style and performance.”

The consensus among fleet suppliers and operators alike at the Ride and Drive  was that after a very busy and successful summer, fleet is not showing any signs of slowdown heading into  2019. With fleets finalizing selector guides and previewing new vehicles, the ride and drive was a perfect opportunity to allow end users to experience first-hand the products their drivers will be choosing for 2019.

Ontario Chapter Chair, Mark Boutillier of Action Car and Truck summed up this year’s event nicely; “The NAFA Ontario Ride and Drive was an amazing success for all involved. With the final tally of registered guests being 321, along with many walk-on attendees, our final number of patrons was approximately 350, well over our goal. Our vehicle count was higher than expected at 107. From the constant line ups to get on the track, to the number of attendees at the vendor booths, it’s clear everyone enjoyed their day. Our sincere gratitude goes out to all 13 OEM’s who supplied a great selection of vehicles, to the 20 vendors who had booths on site and SiriusXM for keeping us entertained throughout the event. Without the commitment of all involved, this event would not have been possible. Until next year, thanks very much!”
