Jaguar Land Rover held its Art of Performance Tour event at Sherway Gardens Mall, Etobicoke on September 23rd.
The models featured at the event were the Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover Sport, the Jaguar F-Type and the highly anticipated all-electric I-Pace SUV.
The morning consisted of three stations which highlighted the performances of each vehicle. The first station was an obstacle course which produced off-road conditions such as steep up hills and ramps that put Range Rover technologies to the test. Using technologies like the 360 degree camera, descent speed control, brake assist and air suspension system, the vehicles handled the course with ease.
Guests had the thrilling experience of driving the 2018 turbocharged 2.0L, 4-cylinder engine, 296 hp Jaguar F-Type. The drive course involved a test that combined drivers speed and precision using Digital Smart Cones which alternately lit up to guide drivers through the driving circuit.
The session wrapped up with the I-Pace, the first ever all-electric Jaguar offering expected to hit dealer showrooms shortly.
The I-Pace takes 4.8 seconds to go from 0-100 km/h with an expected 380 km of range. Using a 50kW charging station, the battery can be charged to full in 85 minutes.
The Jaguar and Land Rover tour made its first stop in Halifax, then continued west to Quebec City, Ottawa, Toronto and will move on to Winnipeg, Kelowna and Richmond in the coming weeks.
