What services does BDS Fleet Service provide? 

 

At BDS Fleet Service, we provide turnkey solutions for fleets of all sizes and all makes and models from cars to class 8 trucks. Our services include maintenance & repairs, body work & refurbishing, up-fitting, telematics installs, decaling, detailing, vehicle decommissioning and driver services.

How is BDS Fleet different than a typical mechanic? 

 

BDS specializes in turnkey fleet solutions, making us the trusted vendor for our many clients. We believe that we have a competitive edge as the largest private fleet facility in the GTA and have chosen a business strategy to work exclusively with fleet accounts. Our goal is to align ourselves with organizations that share similar visions for vehicle safety and to build long-term partnerships with these customers.

What is the advantage of bringing fleet vehicles to your shop versus other mechanics? 

 

We understand the requirements of fleet customers and are committed to providing operational cost savings while minimizing downtime and delivering a high level of workmanship. We are flexible and adapt to the changing needs of our diverse customer base. Everyone’s fleet is different and we must work closely with our customers to ensure that we are meeting the unique needs of their fleet. 

Our investment in education and technology for our service team and technicians is also extremely important. This allows our team to diagnose and solve particular vehicle pain points or problem areas for many of our customers.

BDS Fleet Service is also much more than a service and repair shop. We are here to be an asset to the fleet operations of our customers as a turnkey solution across maintenance, body, up-fitting, detailing and more. We want to help in any way that we can.

What is your maximum service capacity? 

Within our 60,000 square foot facility, we operate 61 service bays. We service all makes and models of fleet vehicles from cars, vans, pick-up trucks, cube vans to buses, trailers, garbage trucks, concrete trucks, line trucks and highway tractors. If I missed something in there, we can probably service that too!

Outside of our shop, we have a 2-acre locked compound for storage with 32 security cameras monitoring both the inside and outside of the building and a secure drop box located at the front door.  This is ideal for vehicle storage during up-fitting projects or for spare vehicles to be left on-site if needed. 

Getting vehicles back on the road and avoiding downtime is crucial for fleets. How does BDS Fleet Service ensure vehicles get back on the road in a timely manner? 

 

We are not open to the public so our bays are strictly made available for the fleets with whom we work. This is a major asset to our customers as it maximizes fleet availability and minimizes downtime.

Another area of importance is our strong relationships with the Fleet Management Companies. Our team is well-versed with each FMC’s approval processes and systems and this is integral in maintaining our exceptional service and minimizing downtime during the authorization process.

Tell us about your team. How long has BDS Fleet Service been serving fleets? What kind of experience does your team have?  

 

As a first generation business that has been around over 40 years, we have accumulated over 200 years of combined expertise within the automotive industry. Our management team has over 30 years of experience in fleet, our service team has extensive experience across various vehicle and truck manufacturers and our purchasing team is well-versed with the strategic sourcing of parts and purchasing for all makes and models. The technicians at BDS comprise a major part of our combined expertise as most of them have been with us for a long time and have gained valuable experience working on a wide array of fleet vehicles and trucks.
