According to data from AutoTrader the average price of a used vehicle in Canada declined month over month, from June to July, the first decline since February 2021. The decline could potentially indicate that used vehicle prices have reached a peak in Canada. The news is cold comfort to used vehicle shoppers as the average price of a used vehicle is still up over 30 percent from a year ago. According to the AutoTrader report there is cause for optimism as it indicated more inventory will become available in the back half of the year.
