Adding to a series of product delays for Tesla’s Cybertruck, the company has announced the launch has been pushed to 2022. The futuristic EV made its debut in November 2019 with CEO Elon Musk promising it would begin production by late 2021. The delay can be attributed to a number of issues, including final tooling for parts and components, decisions on the opening of Tesla’s second U.S. assembly plant. Regardless of the new production date, the Cybertruck will face stiff competition as new and legacy vehicle manufacturers including GM, Ford, FCA Rivian and others are all racing to have product available soon.
