Ford Motor Company’s move toward a build-to order model continues as the OEM’s CFO announced the firm is targeting a dramatic drop from pre pandemic inventory levels of 90 days supply. Speaking at the 2022 Deutsch Bank Global Auto Industry Conference, Ford CFO John Lawler, put the higher levels into perspective, “we’re not going back to the high inventory levels we had in the past. As part of the shift Ford plans to have pickup and delivery services available at all of its U.S dealers by next year as it works to revamp and improve its customer experience, which included more subscription services for driver assist features.
