General Motors is recalling close to 69,000 Chevy Bolt electric cars globally due to fire risk. The company said on November 13, it doesn’t know yet what is causing the fires, but engineers are at work solving the problem. To date, batteries have caught fire in five of the affected vehicles. The recall covers Bolts from 2017 through 2019 model years. U.S. safety regulators have said the vehicles should be parked outdoors until the recall repairs have been made.
