As part of the restructuring plan announced November 26 that includes ending production at 5 North American plants, GM will be eliminating six sedans from its lineup.

The cars are reported to be the Chevrolet Cruze, Volt, and Impala, the Cadillac CT6 and XTS, and the Buick LaCrosse.

Going forward GM says it will prioritize future vehicle investments in its next-generation battery-electric architectures. The company expects that more than 75 percent of GM’s global sales volume will come from five vehicle platforms by early next decade.
