Honda is recalling approximately 725,000 of its Ridgeline pickups and Pilot and Passport SUVs over a hood latch problem. The issue is the gap between a closed hood and upper grill of the affected vehicles may be too large to allow complete contact between the hood and the seal meant to prevent air flow and reduce vibration between the surfaces. Over time, the movement of the hood caused by the airflow in the gap may lead to damage to the hood striker and hood itself. Impacted vehicles are some 2019 Passports, 2016 through 2019 Pilots and 2017 through 202 Ridgeline pickups. The global recall affects approximately 50,00 vehicles in Canada.
