Nissan has announced it will be ending production of the Maxima, its flagship large sedan.  The announcement is part of Nissan’s Ambition 2030 plan, which prioritizes electric vehicles. The iconic Nissan nameplate made its debut in 1980 and has had a number of iterations over  its four decade history, including its current version which debuted in 2015 but has been victim to changing driver attitudes moving significantly away from the large sedan market into crossovers.
