Nissan has confirmed it will end North American production of its commercial vans at the end of 2021. Both full-size NV van production in Mississippi and compact NV200 production in Mexico will cease. The move is part of the second-largest Japanese automaker’s plans to update its various core products including the Rogue and Sentra. It is also launching a companion to the Leaf BEV hatchback, the new Ariya SUV. “Success in North America is critical to the Nissan NEXT transformation plan, and we are concentrating on our core business and products,” said Michael Colleran, senior vice president, Nissan U.S. Marketing & Sales. Sales of the vans will continue through the end of 2021 or until supply is exhausted.
