Canadian used vehicle values continue to suffer declines according to Canadian Black Book’s Used Vehicle Retention Index report. The Index for 2-6 year old vehicles fell by 5.3 points in May putting the index down almost 8 points since March. Leading the declines were the minivan segment as well as small pickup. Of interest to driver force fleets, the popular Mid-Size Crossover segment fell by 4.6 points. As well, CBB sees Full Size Van values being under pressure due to the difficulty of finding buyers for this segment given the uncertain economic outlook.
